Then reduce this intake by 500 calories. You’d burn 1 pound a week. Keep a food journal and write down everything you eat and how many calories/fats there are. Don’t go over 30g of fat per day while on a diet. Eat every 2-3 hours to keep you metabolism up.

youre going about it wrong. DIETS are doomed for failure. you have to change your lifestyle. period.
that means eating well (low carbs, low fat, high protein) FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE…not for just a couple of weeks.
and you HAVE TO excercise…even walking will suffice. being sedentary just doesnt work.
